Christi Van Wassenhove, M.Ed., Principal
Christi Van WassenhoveChristi VanWassenhove graduated from Iowa State University with a bachelor’s degree in English with an endorsement in Secondary Education. She began her educational career at Hambrick Middle School as an English Language Arts teacher and then as a Reading Skills Specialist. In addition to her work at Hambrick, she also served as the Aldine District Destination Imagination Coordinator and served on the Regional Board until the 2009-2010 school year. In May of 2009, Ms. Van Wassenhove graduated from Lamar University with a Master’s in Educational Administration. She was named Assistant Principal at Escamilla the following August where she worked for two years. In 2013, she was named Principal at Stehlik Intermediate School. She was named Principal of Aldine Middle School in the spring of 2018.

Ms. Van’s favorite book is A New Earth by Eckhart Tolle.

Sue Lancaster, Assistant Principal
Sue LancasterMrs. Lancaster is Assistant Principal of curriculum at Aldine Middle School. She has been here in this position for fifteen years. Prior to that she was at Stovall Middle School. 

 John Picklesimer, M.Ed. Assistant Principal

John Picklesimer graduated from Hardin Simmons University, and began teaching General Music at Richey Elementary in 1995. After graduating with a Masters in Educational Leadership, Mr. Picklesimer served at an administrator for Pasadena ISD as well as Aldine. In the 2015, he moved into his current role as Assistant Principal and Campus Discipline Coordinator here at Aldine Middle School.

Mr. P’s favorite book is Spirit of the Border by Zane Grey.

Salvador Peralta, MBA, Assistant Principal
Salvador PeraltaSalvador Peralta was born and raised in Mexico until the age of 11 when his family decided to migrate to the U.S. He attended Hambrick Middle school and MacArthur High school. In 2007 Mr. Peralta received his Bachelors in Mathematics from the University of Houston Downtown, and began his career in education as a Mathematics teacher at MacArthur High.  In 2016 he received his Masters degree in Business Administration from the University of Houston-Downtown. He was named Assistant Principal at Aldine Middle in 2017.

Mr. Peralta’s favorite book is Cuentos para Demian by Jorge Bucay.
