On Saturday, October 15, 2016, some Science teachers from Aldine Middle School had the pleasure of attending Energy Day Houston with ninety of our students to Sam Houston Park. The students completed several experiments that dealt with various forms of Science, from endothermic and exothermic reactions to building molecular models. Students also had the opportunity to visit various vendors and listen to various explanations on different types of energy, as well as technology, conservation, and career in the energy industry. Students were also able to play games, win prizes, enjoy face painting and partake various types of food from food trucks. Students will take the knowledge they gained and become motivated to have more interest in Science Technology Engineering and Mathematics (STEM), but also apply said knowledge to their Science Fair projects.
