On Saturday, March 4 from 9 a.m. to noon, Aldine’s Family and Community Engagement (FACE) Department will host its inaugural Family Health Fair at the Child Nutrition Center, located at 1802 Aldine Bender Rd. Houston, TX. 77032.

The health fair will feature activities for all ages, families will receive free weighted blankets, and there will be an appearance by Mirabel Madrigal from Disney’s ‘Encanto’, courtesy of Texas Children’s.

What you can expect

  • FREE COVID-19 testing, vaccines, flu shots, blood pressure checks, blood sugar checks
  • Information for Medicaid dental services, mental health resources, community resources, health education materials and CPR demonstrations
  • Door prizes and goodies from all health organizations participating
  • Free weighted blankets
  • Photo opportunities with Mirabel Madrigal from Disney’s ‘Encanto’

Participating organizations include: Texas Children’s Hospital, Memorial Hermann, Hope Clinic, MD Anderson, Mi Familia Dental, Molina Healthcare, Avenue 360 Health and Wellness, Dentaquest, Harris County Dental Program, Baker Ripley, Houston Food Bank, Next Level Urgent Care, Harris County Emergency Corps, Harris County Public Health, Aldine ISD Child Nutrition and Aldine ISD Social and Emotional Learning Department.

“Our goal is to provide a fun experience for the families in our communities,” said Dr. Martha Escalante, executive director of Family and Community Engagement (FACE). “This will be a great way for them to enjoy their Saturday, while also focusing on family health.”
